THE BOUDOIR

An intimate adults-only escape with a Queen bed, private balcony and lovely mountain views. Centrally positioned, the room carries a hint of daytime vibrancy, giving way to more peaceful evenings.

THE VELVET ROOM

For those who don’t do small beds, this stylish sanctuary boasts a gloriously oversized King bed and rich, character-filled interiors. Peacefully positioned away from the road for guests who take their beauty sleep very seriously.

THE EXECUTIVE RESIDENCE

Quietly positioned away from the road, this character-filled room pairs a Double bed with a private balcony. Perfect for the independent business traveller who values calm, comfort and a touch of charm. Sofa bed available for one additional a child.

THE COTTAGE

Privately positioned away from the main house, this versatile retreat is perfect for families travelling with little ones (and furry ones). With a Queen bed, sofa bed for up to 2 children, and a small enclosed courtyard for your pet to stretch their legs.

THE RUBY ROOM

Quietly positioned away from the road, this feminine room is our only standard (non self-catering) room with a plush queen bed. Perfect for the independent business traveller who values calm & comfort. 

THE WOMAN BEHIND THE MADNESS

 

Before you blame the décor, the pillows or the champagne… I’m Vanessa, owner of Oak Manor, performer, host, professional fuss-maker and occasional troublemaker.

After travelling the world, and staying in some fabulous, and some not-so-savoury places, I bought Oak Manor because I rather fancied creating the sort of place where hospitality has a pulse. Somewhere beautiful, comfortable and just the right side of fabulous, without anyone hovering around in a blazer asking if everything is to your satisfaction while you’re still trying to find the bathroom.

I believe a good host should notice things. Is your room too warm? Fix it. Want another pillow? Obviously. Staying in bed until an indecent hour? I support you entirely.

I love gorgeous rooms, good food, great stories and people who don’t take themselves too seriously. And I have absolutely no interest in running a place where the answer to everything is “I’m afraid that’s our policy.”

At Oak Manor, we prefer common sense, good taste and the occasional bad decision.

Come for the room. Stay for the hospitality.

Top schools (Rondebosch, Bishops, Herschel Girls, SACS, Rustenburg and Westerford), Newlands Cricket Grounds, Claremont Head Offices, UCT, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, local restaurants and Cavendish Square. all just a quick, easy hop away. We are also the perfect spot for treatments at the Cape Fertility Clinic and Life Kingsbury Hospital.  Some have said, we are dangerously convenient.
